Skaters, BMXers and scooter riders are reminded to come along to one of two workshops this Saturday August 6 to provide feedback on two draft concept plan options for an upgrade to the popular Alexandra Headland skate park.

The draft concept plan options have been developed by Sunshine Coast Council following community engagement earlier this year when the community provided initial ideas for the upgrade.

Date: Saturday, August 6

Time: 10-11.30am and 3-4.30pm

Location: Alex Surf Club, Training Room

You can have your say on the concepts by attending one of two workshops on Saturday, August 6 or by completing an online survey from August 8-19.

Both concept designs:

  • provide shade and shelter to increase the time the skate park is used
  • include features to suit all user skill levels, and allow users to progress and develop their skill
  • integrate the skate park with the nearby infrastructure and iconic beachfront location.

Council will incorporate feedback on the draft concept plan into the final design. The final design may be a combination of the two concepts if feedback shows elements of both designs are favoured.
