Melbourne Storm have arrived on the Sunshine Coast to prepare for their round 26 clash against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday night.
The Storm will be looking to solidify their position in the NRL’s top eight whilst dismantling the Broncos’ minor premiership chances.
Strengthening their connection to the Sunshine Coast, the Storm are here for a four-day training camp, utilising the facilities at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
Rugby league fans will be able to show their support, and see the Storm train, at an open session at the stadium on Monday, starting at 5pm followed by a signing session from 6.15pm.
“This will be a great opportunity for all league lovers to see and meet one of the best NRL teams in Australia, including superstars such as Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk, as they ramp up their training before the NRL finals series,” Mayor Mark Jamieson said.
“Let’s give them a big welcome to the Sunshine Coast.”
As part of their stay, a special Melbourne Storm Luncheon will be held at Alex Surf Club on Tuesday.
Take advantage of this opportunity to get up close and meet coach Craig Bellamy, champion fullback Billy Slater and many other Storm players.
