Coolum Cruisers get walking
  • Friday 29 October 2010

Grab the family, a friend, or a neighbour and join a free Sunshine Coast Heart Foundation Walk with the newly formed Coolum Cruisers walking group.

The Coolum Cruisers walk for 45 to 60 minutes each Wednesday at 4.30pm, starting on 10 November 2010.

Walkers meet Garry Gallagher at the Tourist Information Hut in Tickle Park, David Low Way, Coolum Beach. Don’t forget to arrive five minutes early so the group can leave on time and dress for comfort, be sun smart and bring a water bottle.

There are more than 70 Heart Foundation Walks taking place across the Coast including monthly Moonwalks and pram walks.

The program is sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council in partnership with the Heart Foundation and is an initiative funded by the Queensland Government to get more Queenslanders active.

The program also provides a chance to meet new friends or spend time with family. Walks do not occur in the event of persistent rain or storms.
