Council’s Coolum Library would like to thank members and visitors for their patience while the Jack Morgan Park revitalisation project is finalised.

Division 9 Councillor Stephen Robinson said since the upgrade started on May 4, Jack Morgan Park had been a hive of activity with the completion of stage one on track for August 28.

The library car park will remain closed until Friday, August 7.

“As we value our library customers, we want to let them know Coolum Library remains open for business while work is taking place and the best access to the library remains via the Perry Street boardwalk,” Cr Robinson said.

“The community may also access the library via Elizabeth and Park Streets.

“During this time the library will continue to the borrowing time extension, from three weeks to six weeks, to assist our customers.

“Don’t forget members can also access the fantastic range of free online library resources including e-books, audiobooks, e-magazines, music and films – all you need is your library membership card.”

Cr Robinson said Coolum Library staff would continue to work closely with their loyal members to ensure this period is as stress free as possible.

“We look forward to the heart of Coolum being revitalised and in particular, the improved access and safety of Coolum Library members and visitors,” he said.

“If you have any questions please don’t forget to talk to your friendly library staff who will be only too happy to assist.”

Coolum Library is located at 6 Park Street, Coolum and is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5.30pm, Tuesdays from 9am to 7pm and Saturday from 9am to 3pm.
