Coolum shapes up with Baby Brigade Pram Walks
  • Monday 27 September 2010

Calling all parents in the Coolum Beach area wanting to get fit and stay healthy.

Kidfit has teamed up with the Heart Foundation and Sunshine Coast Council to run free Pram Walks across the Coast. This initiative is a great opportunity for busy new mums and dads to socialise with other like-minded parents, while getting outdoors and enjoying some exercise.

Heart Foundation-funded walking is Australia’s largest network of free community-based walking groups. Sunshine Coast Council already supports over 70 free walks each week across the Coast, and now Pram Walks in Coolum can be added to the list.

Pram Walks will be held in Coolum on the first Monday of every month, with the first one kicking off on Monday 4 October at 8am. Parents are encouraged to meet outside the Jonathan M Patisserie located at the Element on Coolum, David Low Way, Coolum Beach – with half price coffee available at the end of the walk.

Heart Foundation Pram Walks continue in Caloundra on the last Friday of every month at 8am. Meet outside the Taste of Bliss cafe at Moffat Beach. All are welcome.

Walks will take around 45 minutes to one hour and will be in flat, pram-friendly areas.

A range of activities such as baby book making and mural making will be included in both the Coolum and Caloundra pram walks.

Checklist: baby, pram, hat, water bottle and sense of adventure!
