Project ‘Resolve’

Tonight at 6:30pm, Councillor Chris Thompson will show his support for project ‘Resolve’ as council launches another aspect of the initiative to enhance the safety and amenity of Mooloolaba.

Under Project ‘Resolve’, people who are participating in antisocial behavior could receive a notice from a police officer, resulting in the offender receiving a council issued infringement notice with a penalty amount of up to $375 fine.

Council, in partnership with the Mooloolaba community, have introduced, and support, various safety programs which include the CALM Mooloolaba liquor accord, the new secure taxi rank with marshals and CCTV, both launched last December.

Representatives from Queensland Police, Queensland Transport, Mooloolaba CALM and Street Angels will also be attending tonight’s photo opportunity.
