Sunshine Coast Council would like to remind residents and visitors that while council administration offices and libraries will be closed over the Easter weekend, essential services, including kerbside waste collection and lifeguard patrols, will continue as usual.
Please see below for information on our holiday services.
· Council offices will be closed on Good Friday 10 April and Easter Monday 13 April.
From Tuesday 14 April to Friday 17 April, opening hours are as usual:
· Council administration offices open from 8.30am to 5pm
· Council telephone enquiries from 8am to 5pm
· Customer service centres open from 8.30am to 4.30pm
Council provides lifeguard patrols at 27 of the Coast’s beaches between Noosa West and Golden Beach – a map of all Sunshine Coast patrolled beaches and further information on lifeguard services are available on council’s website www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au
All normal patrolled Coast beaches will continue over the Easter school holidays from 10 to 19 April. In addition, the following beaches will be patrolled daily over the school holidays:
· Golden Beach
· Mooloolaba cats (near the spit)
· North Peregian
Council libraries will be closed from Good Friday to Easter Monday, including the weekend.
Kerbside waste collection will continue as usual.
After hours emergencies
At the close of business, council’s general phone numbers divert to the after hours service provider. There is no need to dial a different number. This is only for emergencies relating to council activities and services.
