caloundra regional gallery, dna jewellery making workshop

We’re celebrating National Science Week at Caloundra Regional Gallery on Saturday, August 13 with two special workshops for the curious and creative.

Suitable for ages 13+, these workshops are sure to entice those who have creative minds and like science, or curious minds that want to mingle with creativity.

Join in the fun, and make art from science at the DNA Jewellery Making Workshop. Participants will extract DNA from fruit using common household items and make a piece of jewellery to take home.

If electronics are more your thing, come along to the Wind Up LED Light Workshop and work with gears, motors and electronics to make a torch that doesn’t need batteries.
