Sunshine Coast Council is excited to bring to the region this month an incredible selection of 20th Century Australian contemporary art by some of our country’s most recognised artists.

Portfolio holder for Community Programs, Councillor Jenny McKay said the next exhibition to be hosted at Caloundra Regional Gallery is one not to be missed.

“The Rockhampton Art Gallery exhibition toured by Museum and Gallery Service Queensland is shared in a national touring exhibition – Cream: Four Decades of Australian Art – on display at Caloundra Regional Gallery from October 29 to December 14”, Cr McKay said.

“The touring works chronicle the development of modernism in Australia from 1940 to 1980, and includes paintings, drawings and prints by artists such as John Perceval, Arthur Boyd, Charles Blackman, Sidney Nolan, Russell Drysdale, John Brack, Clifton Pugh, Sam Fulbrook, Margaret Olley, and Fred Williams.

“All are welcome to attend the official opening of Cream: Four Decades of Australian Art on Wednesday October 29 at 6pm.”
