The Living Smart Expo, coming to the Events Centre, Caloundra on Saturday 26 June, will be a one-stop-shop for builders, renovators, businesses and households looking for sustainable products and services that are available right here on the Coast.
Hosted by the Sunshine Coast Council, the free expo will include more than 40 stalls from local businesses plus interactive workshops, speakers and eco flicks throughout the day.
Project Manager of Environment Initiatives Ben McMullen said that the expo line up is perfect for anyone looking for ideas, or sustainable suppliers and products on the Sunshine Coast.
“The expo is a great way to connect local sustainable businesses with people who are genuinely working towards more sustainable lifestyle options,” Mr McMullen said.
“People will really be inspired by the fresh ideas, products and services available right on their door step.
“Eco-business is so much broader than solar and water tank and its quite impressive how many sustainable business are operating locally.
“At the expo will be everything from energy efficient lighting, fair-trade gifts, rainwater tanks, eco-architects, green roofs, green cleaning products eco packaging, TravelSmart and LivingSmart plus lots more.
“As well as more than 40 stalls, there will be workshops on backyard permaculture, master composting sessions, green roof innovation and a presentation on designing and retrofitting homes for the Queensland climate.
“Plus you can sit back, relax and enjoy one of the eco-flicks that will be playing throughout the day, with some local fare at the events centre cafe.”
