An abundance of beautiful plants and flowers will be on display at theGlasshouse Country Garden Expo on Sunday 25 May at the Beerwah Community Hall and Turner Park. The expo kicks off at 9am, with the official opening at 10.25am.

Featuring gardening clinics, workshops and keynote speakers such as radio gardening gurus Colin Campbell and Annette McFarlane, this year’s Glasshouse Country Garden Expo will have something for everyone with a green thumb, and those who don’t!

According to Sunshine Coast Regional Councillor Anna Grosskreutz, in addition to gardening exhibits, there will be displays on personal health and lifestyle needs for gardeners.

“The Garden Expo is a fun and informative way to learn more about your garden,” said Cr Grosskreutz. “With this year’s focus being on promoting the environment and healthy living, there will certainly be something for everyone.”

Locals are encouraged to attend the special clinics to find solutions to their planting problems. Entry is free and there will plant giveaways and lucky door prizes throughout the day.

Event rundown:

10am – Recycling in your garden workshop

10:30am – Keynote speaker, Annette McFarlane (ABC Radio)

11:30am and 2pm – Plant clinic

12pm – Managing and propagating bromeliads

1pm – Keynote speaker, Colin Campbell (4BC Radio and ABC Gardening Australia)

2:15pm – Garden competition award presentation

2:30pm – Basic Feng Shui in the Garden workshop
