Job Show

The countdown is on to the largest one-stop shop of current and upcoming job vacancies on the Sunshine Coast – will you be there?

More than 750 job seekers and 58 local private and public sector agencies have registered for Thursday’s Sunshine Coast Job Show.

Businesses that haven’t registered to exhibit at the Sunshine Coast Council initiative can still have their current job listings displayed by registering them at the Job Show website: www.thejobshow.com.au/business-registration.

The Job Show booth will take inquiries on behalf of registered businesses and screen their job listings through to relevant registered job seekers.

Mayor Mark Jamieson said the Job Show was a golden opportunity for local employers and job seekers to achieve their desired outcomes.

“If you’re looking for a job, a different job or even your first job, the Sunshine Coast Job Show represents an exciting platform for employers and job seekers to connect and achieve real employment outcomes,” Mayor Jamieson said.

“I would strongly urge any local business that’s looking for employees to jump on the Job Show website and register their current jobs. By doing so they’ll give themselves the best possible chance of connecting with job seekers who are best suited to fill those employment vacancies.”

The Job Show is a Sunshine Coast Council initiative and aligns with the Sunshine Coast Regional Economic Development Strategy (REDS) that aims to triple the region’s current economy to $33 billion over the next 20 years by growing High Value Industry jobs from 59,000 to 100,000.

Some of the Sunshine coast’s largest employers will be present at the Job Show, including Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, Youi, Novotel Twin Waters, Auto & General, Max Employment, Sarina Russo and Stellar BPM.
