Sunshine’s Hoop LoveYour kids will have “hoops” of fun these school holidays with a range of Hula Hoop Workshops happening at Sunshine Coast Council’s Lake Kawana
Community Centre from Tuesday, January 12 until Friday, January 15.

Facilitated by Sunshine’s Hoop Love, the Hula Hoop Workshops will encourage creativity, silliness, playfulness, build body awareness and confidence and get their bodies active and moving.

The workshop will have children playing games, laughing and being entertained all with a little twist… using hula hoops.

This workshop is designed to be engaging, energising and playful. Children will learn hula hoop tricks, get their bodies moving, improve coordination, and laugh out loud lots in a fun and safe environment.

With tickets just $13 per person, the one-hour workshops are recommended for young people aged five to 12 and are limited to 30 participants.

For kids aged 13 years and over, the Youth Disco Divas and Dudes Hula Hoop Workshop is all about having fun, being creative and having a disco dancing good time.

Participants will play a few disco games with hula hoops, learn some amazing tricks that they can show off to their friends, perform a hoop routine and create their very own hoop dance to some cool music and funky lighting.

Children will build body awareness and confidence while getting their bodies active and moving. This workshop is just $15 per person.

If children are feeling creative, then the Hula Hoop Making Workshop will teach them how to make their very own, unique, colourful hula hoop.

All materials are provided and instruction is given on how to design and create their very own special hoop. Once it’s finished, there will be time to learn a few cool hoop tricks.

This workshop is $25 per person and recommended for children aged 10 years and over.
