Sunshine Coast Council’s TravelSmart team is hosting a school holiday cycling workshop specially designed for children ready to make the progression to riding a bike on two wheels only.

The workshop is on Wednesday 30 September from 9am to noon at the Maroochydore Multisports Complex, Fishermans Road, Maroochydore. It will be fully supervised by accredited cycle coaches, however parents or guardians are required to be present with participating children.

The session is free and includes prizes and TravelSmart giveaways for participants. It is BYO bike, helmet and waterbottle, but bikes and helmets can also be hired if people let the TravelSmart team know when booking. For details, or to register phone 5449 5200.

The Queensland Government provides funding to support council’s community cycling education, bike rides and workshop series to get more Queenslanders discovering the lifelong benefits of participating in physical activity and improving eating habits.
