Sunshine Coast Libraries are making homework even easier for parents and students via a new partnership with the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Pre-service teachers currently studying Education at the University will be on site at a number of libraries to run Find it! Homework help and will be available once per week during school terms. These student teachers will be able to assist students and parents with curriculum queries, research, reader advisory and be on hand to help find information via online databases and websites.
Find it! Homework help will not only benefit students but also allow pre-service teachers to actively draw upon their growing knowledge and expertise as an educator and apply this in a new context. It also aims to provide school students the opportunity to receive informed advice and help from pre-service teachers and increase participants’ information literacy skills.
Sessions will be held at:
Kawana Library – Every Thursday from 4pm to 6pm
Maleny Library – Every Tuesday from 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Maroochydore Library – Every Wednesday from 4pm to 5.30pm
