The Sunshine Coast Regional Council will streamline its hours of operation to ensure consistent customer service when it opens its doors for the first time on Monday.
All four local offices of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council will answer phones from 8am and will serve their first customer from 8.30am.
Sunshine Coast Regional Council Interim CEO, John Knags, said the streamlining would make it easier for all residents to remember the hours of operation of all council offices throughout the region rather than needing to check which office is open when.
“The same hours of operation will provide residents and ratepayers with consistency in knowing exactly what time they can contact someone, no matter which office they visit or telephone, during their normal course of business with the new Council,” Mr Knaggs said.
“This is one of only a small number of changes we have made to the way the new Council will do business however, in terms of providing good, consistent customer service, it is an important one.
“However, come Monday morning, while the hours might be slightly different, your current Council administration office will be your local office of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council with all the same contact details.”
