Increased focus on safety with the launch of ‘Coolum Safe’
  • Tuesday 27 May 2008

The first meeting of the Coolum community safety committee ‘Coolum Safe’ will be held Tuesday, 27 May. This local community safety committee will consist of representation from the Queensland Police Service, Sunshine Coast Regional Council, local community, and business members.

Members of the Coolum Safe committee will work directly with the Coolum Police and Council to develop and implement a localised operational community safety action plan. This will involve community members discussing issues and concerns that directly affect their community, and identifying initiatives and programs that can be implemented to address these issues.

By working together, the Coolum Safe Committee will contribute to the preservation of safety and amenity of public spaces in the Coolum area, which will positively enhance the local area.
