Sunshine Coast Council has launched a new live web chat service, which will provide residents with a fast, easy to access option to ‘chat’ online with a customer service officer.
Service Delivery Portfolio Councillor Paul Tatton said the new service would offer residents the opportunity to have an online conversation with council in real time via the web.
“The new interactive web chat service will provide the community with a quick and convenient way to have their questions answered by a real person online from the comfort of their own home without having to use the telephone,” Cr Tatton said.
“Live web chat is a great value add to the various other channels available to residents looking to communicate with council’s customer service. Residents can choose which communication vehicle best suits them or their needs at the time.”
The new web chat service is accessible on the ‘Contact Council’ web page of council’s website. Users of the service will ‘chat’ with a staff member via a simple online dialogue box.
The new service is available Monday to Friday between 8:15am and 5pm (excluding public holidays). Other options to contact council include via email, mail, telephone, online forms or visiting a customer service centre.
