Invest in information
  • Wednesday 04 January 2012

Sunshine Coast Libraries are hosting free sessions to help people move through the various phases of life with financial independence.

The Investing with Safety sessions conducted by Centrelink will demonstrate how a few simple habits can put you in charge of your financial position.

The sessions will cover a range of topics that include investment choices, investing with safety, global economy and investment impacts.

Sunshine Coast Council’s Manager Libraries and Gallery Services, Ross Duncan said Libraries are pleased to partner with Centrelink who can offer investment advice to residents of the Sunshine Coast for free.

"Smart investment decisions can be made when you have relevant, up to date and professional advice," Mr Duncan said.

Centrelink’s Financial Information Service Officer, Greg Barrie said that investing doesn’t have to be difficult.

"With the right information and some professional advice, the options that suit your situation will become a lot clearer," Mr Barrie said.

The 75 minute sessions are free and with places filling fast, bookings are essential. More information is available at the Sunshine Coast Libraries website.
