It’s not too late to join the Summer Reading Club and win
  • Tuesday 08 January 2013

Sunshine Coast Council invites families to embark on a journey into the magical world of books at their local library and get tangled up in fairy tales of all kinds.

What better way to spend these hot summer days than stretched out under the fan with a favourite book? Getting the kids into the summer reading club gives them the excuse to read all summer.

Entering is easy by registering in person at any Sunshine Coast Library or Mobile Library or by completing the online registration form at council’s library website.

Then you simply need to read five to 10 items of your choice including books, magazines, comics, e-books over the summer holidays. Write your reading list on the reading log and hand it in to your local library by 5pm Wednesday 23 January 2013.

Families can also explore the Summer Reading Club website to read the wacky stories and blogs, play the Cinderella game or try your hand at writing.

There are some cool prizes to be won including iPods, books, magazine subscriptions, and more. Winners will be notified on Friday 25 January 2013.

For library locations and opening hours visit council’s library website or call 1300 LIBRARY (1300 542727).
