As many Sunshine Coast businesses now know, if they want a piece of the action at the $1.8 billion Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH), they have to be up to speed with management systems.
That means registering on the ICN Gateway – and having being able to tick the box for having appropriate Management Systems in place.
Sunshine Coast Council is running a one-day interactive workshop which will not only show you how to compile the business requirements for ICN – you will actually do the paperwork as part of the workshop.
“This is the best way for local businesses to get their name in front of the SCUH tender people,” Economic Development (health and medical) portfolio councillor, Peter Cox, said.
“After all, there are many, many contracts of all sizes coming up; if you have been thinking about it, here’s a chance to be able to put yourself in the best possible position.”
Facilitator Rob Tomlinson, who is director of Incremental Improvements Australia, said his workshop killed two birds with one stone.
“It’s the best way to not only find out what’s available, but to get up to speed on what’s required,” he said.
“The full-day workshop will cover Quality, Environment and OH&S Management Systems.
“Just bring a laptop and charger to start writing your systems with my assistance, right there and then.”
The one-day workshops are being held on Tuesday July 9, Wednesday 28 August, Thursday 10 October and Tuesday 3 December at Lake Kawana Community Centre. Cost is $150 per person.
