Local man illuminates with pedal power

Proving the theory that lateral thinking gets results, the Living Smart Solutions Expo presents a range of unique and inspired products and services, available right here on the Coast.

The free expo will host over 50 stalls from local businesses, interactive workshops, presentations and some unusual innovations.

Project Officer Joanna Ferris said that the expo line-up provides a one-stop shop for anyone looking for ideas, or for sustainable suppliers and products on the Sunshine Coast.

“It’s amazing and impressive quite how many sustainable businesses are operating locally; everything from solar power and eco architects to cleaning products and green bank loans.” Ms Ferris said.

“As well as over 50 stalls, there’ll be interactive workshops on composting and bike maintenance, sessions on how to reduce your carbon footprint, and the community launch of the Noosa Biosphere.

“We even have a local Yandina man demonstrating how he’s cut his electricity bills, using a pushbike to power his lights.”

The Living Smart Expo is a Sunshine Coast Council event.
