If you are keen to learn more about the region’s coastal heritage, make sure you attend Sunshine Coast Council’s Memorably Moffat short film screening at Kawana Library on Thursday, August 21 at 2pm.

Step back in time and join us to view the beautifully produced Memorably Moffat thirty-minute documentary to reminisce the history and lifestyle of Moffat Beach in the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

The Memorably Moffat project is a documented heritage study about the much-loved beachside fibro residences in and around Moffat Beach. The interiors and important features of the traditional Caloundra beach houses were documented throughout the project.

The documentary gathered stories of more than 30 Moffat Beach residents and long-time holiday-makers who are featured in this unique film.

The Memorably Moffat documentary is available for purchase from Caloundra and Kawana Libraries and online from Council’s library e-Shop.

Memorably Moffat is a Sunshine Coast Council Cultural Heritage initiative celebrating the history and stories of traditional Moffat Beach houses and their families. Memorably Moffat is supported through funding from the Australian Government’s Your Community Heritage Program.

Make sure you book early to avoid disappointment by visiting Council’s library website or call 1300 LIBRARY.
