Sunshine Coast Council has made a minor amendment to some of the planning scheme policies that support the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014.

Regional Planning Portfolio Councillor Christian Dickson said the amendment corrects a small number of minor editorial and operational matters identified since adoption of the planning scheme policies.

The amendment is referred to as the Planning Scheme Policies (Administrative and Minor Amendment) No. 3 and affects the following planning scheme policies contained in Schedule 6 of the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014:

  • Planning scheme policy for the flood hazard overlay code
  • Planning scheme policy for development works
  • Planning scheme policy for the transport and parking code.

“The amendment is very minor in nature and does not have any significant policy implications,” Cr Dickson said.

“The amendment will help improve the planning scheme policies for users and will take effect on and from  August 3, 2015.”

A copy of the amendment is available at Council’s Development Information Counter located at 10 First Avenue, Maroochydore, or can be viewed and downloaded from Council’s website www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/planningscheme.
