As part of the First 5 Forever early childhood literacy program, Sunshine Coast Council is taking the mobile library on play dates at parks across the region to encourage parents and children to come and try.

The mobile library play dates aim to make a visit to the library easy and to showcase the great collection and programs available for children.

Each visit will include a storytelling session, games, dress-ups and a lot of fun for toddlers and their care givers. Everyone is invited to visit the mobile library to borrow books or register for their free library membership.

First 5 Forever is a universal family literacy program aimed at supporting stronger language and literacy environments for young children from 0 to five years and their families.

The program is funded by the Queensland State Government and is delivered by 320 public libraries across Queensland.
