More free lessons in money management
  • Wednesday 01 April 2009

To help residents in these tough economic times, more Sunshine Coast Libraries will be staging financial literary workshops as a free service to the public from April to July.

The workshops will be run in partnership with Money Minded, a branch of the Smith Family, to provide free training in five of the region’s libraries.

The first workshop kicks off at Maroochydore Library on 24 April from 9.30am and will run weekly on Fridays over the following four weeks.

Caloundra Library starts its Money Minded workshop on 5 May, running each Tuesday from 11am to 1pm.

The course then runs in June at Nambour, Noosa and Kawana libraries. (See dates below).

Workshop coordinator Mignon Fanton said spaces were limited, and in these hard economic times, the workshops were likely to be filled.

“If demand is high, then further workshops will be scheduled in future,” she said.

Interested people can register by phoning or visiting their local library. For further information about the workshop, contact the Maroochydore Library on 5475 8900, Caloundra Library on 5491 1255 and the Kawana Library on 5444 8022.
