Sunshine Coast Council, in partnership with My Weekly Preview, proudly presents the My Christmas – your guide to Christmas and New Year publication filled with a variety of fun, family-friendly activities happening throughout December and January.
Mayor Mark Jamieson said he was delighted to continue the partnership with My Weekly Preview in producing the informative publication which comes complete with the words to some of the most popular Christmas carols.
“This is a special time of year, and I encourage the community to come together and celebrate by joining in some of the fun events happening in their neighbourhood,” Mayor Jamieson said.
“The My Christmas publication will be delivered to 70,000 businesses and households this week and contains information on events and activities taking place right across the region.
“The program of events includes community carols, Christmas fairs, markets, street carnivals, movie nights and much more.
“Plus, there are the exciting New Year’s Eve celebrations to be held in Mooloolaba, with a great line up of entertainment and fireworks shows at 8.30pm and midnight.”
There’s also the full list of the 21 trees that make up council’s Christmas Tree Trail which was officially launched at Mooloolaba on Wednesday night.
The majority of the decorated trees will be lit up by December 1 with the final tree lighting up on December 6 at Wurtulla.
