New look for Dunethin Rock toilet block

Taking a trip to the ‘loo’ at Dunethin Rock will soon be a lot easier and more pleasant for everyone.

Sunshine Coast Council is set to construct a new unisex restroom facility that will replace the existing toilet block. Division 9 councillor, Vivien Griffin said the $160,000 project would provide plenty of benefits for local residents.

"The current facility is in need of replacement due to its age and deteriorating condition," she said.

"The new toilet block will be disabled compliant with a ramp access and will provide easy access from a new disabled parking bay nearby.

"The new facility will retain a state of the art composter system making it very energy efficient."

Work will begin on the new restroom in March 2011 with completion due by May.
