New opportunities for young Sunshine Coast musicians
  • Monday 29 March 2010

Young Sunshine Coast musicians and music industry practitioners will have a rare chance to develop their talents, thanks to the Sunshine Coast Council’s AMPED program.

AMPED (A Music Program Enabling Development) aims to support local young people to gain access and experience in the music industry by delivering a collection of workshops, development and mentoring projects.

Council has successfully sourced Arts Queensland funding to deliver the program in 2010.

The AMPED team are seeking expressions of interest from young musicians, bands and music lovers, who wish to develop their talents, expand their horizons, gain more performance opportunities or get involved in the AMPED committee.

Expressions of interest are also being sought from the local music industry, music associations, established bands/musicians and persons who would like to share their experiences and skills with the future of the Sunshine Coast music industry.
