The Whitlams are the next big name on the bill at this year’s Caloundra Music Festival. Tim Freedman will bring the iconic group to Caloundra to join Pete Murray, Ian Moss, Lior, Jackson Jackson and Kate Miller-Heidke from 17 to 19 October.
"The Whitlams are one of Australia's favourite bands, whose appeal reaches audiences of all ages and tastes,” said festival director Richie Eyles.
The band will promote their recently released ‘best of’ album ‘Truth, Beauty & a Picture of You’ at the sun, surf and soul festival.
Other acts announced today include New York jazz legend Roy Ayers, Aussie stalwart Darryl Braithewaite and comedy trio Tripod.
“Roy Ayers is an absolute legend and it will be a real treat to have such a quality international artist here in Caloundra,” said Mr Eyles.
Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Bob Abbott will also perform at the festival with his council band ‘The Blueocrats’.
“The festival is promising to be a great family friendly event with an impressive line-up of Australian and international talent”, said the Mayor.
Discounted tickets are available until Sunday 31 August at $89 for an adult weekend pass, or $65 for concessions. VIP passes and family passes are also available.
