Sunshine Coast Council today announced the Melbourne Ballet Company are offering advanced dance students aged 13 years and over the chance to attend free workshops as part of their appearance at Nambour Civic Centre later this month.

The Melbourne Ballet Company is one of Australia’s most loved dance companies and will be holding a range of workshops for advanced dance students including advanced ballet, repertoire or company warm up on stage at Nambour Civic Centre.

Numbers are strictly limited, so dancers and schools are recommended to call Nambour Civic Centre today on 5475 7777 to book into one of the following free workshops:

Wednesday 27 March 2013
Advanced Ballet Class from 4pm to 5pm
Repertoire Class from 5.15pm to 6.15pm

Thursday 28 March 2013
Company Class from 6pm to 7pm
Join the company on stage for a warm up class.

The Melbourne Ballet Company’s acclaimed work Infinite Space is on the Sunshine Coast for one performance only at Nambour Civic Centre on Thursday 28 March 2013 at 7.30pm.

Infinite Space is a breathtaking example of classical dance re-interpreted to inspire both new and loyal ballet audi­ences. It will entrance audiences as it takes them on a choreographic journey through four acclaimed and original works, all brought to life by a uniquely talented dance ensemble.

Cost to attend the ballet is $45 for adults, $40 for concessions and groups of eight or more, $25 for 25 years and under and $35 for subscribers.
