Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton and acclaimed Hollywood actor Guy Pearce promise an electrifying performance at Council’s Nambour Civic Centre as part of their co-headlining tour on Friday, February 13 at 7.30pm.

It’s no secret who Powderfinger is. This powerful and influential Aussie band spent 18 years travelling the globe entertaining millions. Over that time they received 17 Aria Awards, numerous songwriter awards and several appearances in the Triple J Hottest 100.

When the members that formed Powderfinger decided to withdraw from their very successful music career in 2010, there was just something burning inside of one in particular that fuelled the desire to keep on playing.

Filled with passion and love for music, Darren Middleton decided to use the stage he had been standing on as a platform to something even greater.

Born to entertain, Middleton took a leap of faith in 2013 which launched him into his solo career. Since then, he has made repeat appearances at festivals such as Splendour In the Grass, Woodford Folk Festival, Teneriffe Festival as well as tours with Busby Marou and numerous solo shows.

Now, Middleton is teaming up with actor turned musician Guy Pearce to produce a night that is electrifying in both sound and soul.

They will share the stage in what promises to be an unforgettable show, performing songs from each other’s repertoire, with a full backing band.

The show kicks off what is going to be a huge year of live music at Nambour Civic Centre with other acts such as Vance Joy and Adam Harvey hitting the stage throughout the year.
