If you have a passion for the environment and cultural events, consider volunteering your time to join the Sunshine Coast Council’s award-winning Floating Land team to deliver the region’s premier green art festival.
Renowned artists from across the globe and an enthusiastic audience of festival patrons will gather at Boreen Point and locations across the region from 31 May to 9 June to take part in Floating Land 2013.
The festival will incorporate a diverse range of traditional, contemporary and virtual art forms including sculptural installations, dance, music, theatre, visual arts, satire and written and spoken word.
With the theme of Nature’s Dialogue, Floating Land will bring the science of nature to the forefront and provide a powerful platform for creativity, science, technologies and culture to intersect.
As a Floating Land volunteer you will find yourself performing a range of rewarding duties including:
- Working in the Information Tent – open 10 days
- Assisting with the official opening and/or closing events
- Providing schools’ program and workshop assistance
- Providing general assistance throughout the festival.
If you love people and the arts and have a burning ambition to obtain experience working at a landmark event, then this is your chance.
All volunteers will receive a full induction and receive a Floating Land T-shirt and lanyard.
