Sunshine Coast Libraries have sought the expertise of local mother and author, Sarah Pye, to offer up secrets for successful family getaways across the region.
Having written the acclaimed book Kids Welcome to Queensland, Ms Pye is all too familiar with the struggle to entertain the whole family while on holidays in the Sunshine State.
She noticed a lack of information for parents on the topic while embarking on travels with her own child, and as a result, created the guidebook especially for families, mums and dads, grandparents and carers.
"Choosing activities for your family during school holidays can be difficult at the best of times," said Ms Pye.
"Kids Welcome to Queensland contains over 500 independent reviews of activities, attractions, tours, places to stay and places to eat throughout the state, making it easier for parents to explore and learn with their kids."
Sunshine Coast Libraries are offering free talks by Ms Pye throughout August to give residents and visitors alike inside information on the best-kept secrets of the area – at little or no cost at all.
Libraries are inviting local families to learn more about the hidden treasures the Coast has to offer. Talks will be held on the following dates and bookings are essential:
