Shortlisted Vogel Literary Award winner visits Maroochy Library
  • Thursday 17 May 2012

Sunshine Coast Council, in partnership with Get Reading, presents Melbourne based author Romy Ash with her debut novel Floundering for a literary evening at the Maroochydore Library on Tuesday, 29 May 2012.

Floundering is a beautifully written and gripping story about two brothers, Tom and Jordy, who were left with their gran as babies. The boys attempt to reconnect with their mother Loretta on an impromptu road trip across the country. Readers will be moved as this story is as heartbreaking as it is tender.

Romy will discuss her debut book as well as her other writing endeavours that include a food blog and contributing to the Griffith REVIEW, the Big Issue and frankie magazine.

Romy Ash’s talk is presented by Get Reading, Australia’s largest annual celebration of books and reading.

This not to be missed free session will be run from 6pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday 29 May 2012 with light refreshments to be served.

Bookings are essential and can be made online at council’s website or by phoning Maroochydore Library on 5475 8900.
