Spice up your garden!
  • Tuesday 22 May 2012

Sunshine Coast Council is proud to present free Fun with Herbs sessions throughout July and August 2012 at library locations across the Coast.

Presenter Heike Farkas shares her passion for utilising garden herbs to make natural remedies, infusions, ointments, lotions and potions. Be inspired as you watch, listen and learn from Heike as she demonstrates and enlightens you with the many and varied uses of herbs.

The emphasis on healthy living and organic food has us returning in droves to organic produce and adopting a ‘fresh is best’ approach to what we eat. Not only can the humble herb bring a range of flavours to your food but the health and medicinal benefits are numerous.

Investigate nature’s own solutions to ailments and have fun inventing some herbal medicine remedies. This workshop will give you the knowledge and inspiration to develop and possibly expand your own herbal plot at home.

To learn how to make herbal magic for yourself, book today online at Council’s library website or by phoning one of your local libraries.
