Community members involved in sport and recreation are invited to attend a workshop hosted by the Sunshine Coast Council and the Queensland Government.

The workshop is for anyone involved in the sport and recreation industry, with a particular focus on people involved in community sports clubs and groups.

The aim of the workshop is to increase the skills and knowledge of coaches, instructors, officials, committee members, administrators and volunteers involved in community sport and recreation.

The workshop will focus on working with volunteers, including modern recruitment and retention strategies, how to increase volunteer numbers and how to best utilise the skills volunteers bring to sporting groups.

Council is helping to build better, stronger, more sustainable sports and recreation clubs by encouraging sport and recreation development throughout the Sunshine Coast.
