Melbourne Storm NYC v Gold Coast Titans

The Sunshine Coast-based Melbourne Storm under-20s will make their first live television appearance of the 2016 season on Sunday.

The Thunderbolts' round three clash with NZ Warriors in Auckland will be on Fox Sports in Australia and Sky Sports in New Zealand, kicking off at 10.45am (Qld time).

Now well established at their new home, Sunshine Coast Stadium, the Thunderbolts are sitting in fifth place on the early Holden Cup ladder.

After averaging 43 points in their opening two games of the season, it is fair to say attack has not been an issue for the Thunderbolts.

However it is their work without the football that coach Eric Smith is keen to address ahead of this weekend’s trip to New Zealand.

The Thunderbolts were handed their first defeat of the season last Saturday, going down to the Titans in a thrilling showdown 42-44.

It was the second week in a row the Thunderbolts managed to score more than 40 points but with a combined 68 points allowed in the first two rounds the team’s defensive game has been the focus at training this week.
