Sunshine Coast Council and Queensland Theatre Company proudly present Treasure Island, a magical theatrical experience for the whole family, at Lake Kawana Community Centre for one show on Thursday 2 August at 1.30pm.

Join twelve year old Jim Hawkins on his hunt for buried treasure. But watch out . . . . there are double-crossing pirates all around, led by the notorious Long John Silver. Will Jim make it from his home in a small seaside village to the mysterious Treasure Island?

Queensland Theatre Company and Matrix Theatre bring to the stage this classic children’s story, in a new adaptation with sixteen characters and two actors.

A magical coming of age story, and the original classic pirate tale, Treasure Island explores themes of adventure and escapism, coming of age, role models and overcoming fears.

Cost to attend is $20 for adults, $15 for children or group of 4 (minimum of 2 children) for $60. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling Lake Kawana Community Centre on 5413 1400, online at council’s website or visit the Box Office located at 114 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina. Book early to avoid disappointment.
