Start the National Year of Reading by discovering new local authors and uncovering fascinating facts about Cooroy’s history.

Sunshine Coast Council present an afternoon of tales of dirt tracks and gold, and stories of pioneering families on Wednesday 25 January at the Cooroy library.

Join local author Jeff Lambert as he launches Pathways to Gold, a book that will take readers on a journey back in time to the development of tracks, roads and the first major gold discovery in Queensland.

Well known local author and historian, Betty Sutton will enthral audiences with her latest book Echoes of the Past. Betty Sutton brings the Cooroy community to life in her book about changes in social and environmental conditions from pioneering days to the present. Hear about the early district families in Cooroy and find out about the current activities of the local genealogy and history group.

Join Jeff Lambert and Betty Sutton on Wednesday 25 January from 12 noon to 3pm at the Cooroy library. Afternoon tea will be provided.
