If the holidays are looming like the shadow of a maths assignment, then you haven’t heard about what’s on offer as part of The Program, THE guide to school holiday activities on the coast.
Forget paper craft, these school holidays are all about the exciting, emerging craft of filmmaking.
As part of the workshops on offer from 30 June, you can discover everything you’ve ever wanted to know about making your own film, plus an insight into the coast’s very own film festival, SCRUFFFY, which launches next week.
But you had better get in quick, because places for the workshops are filling fast. And whether you live in Caloundra or Coolum, there is a workshop near you:
- Monday 30 June: SCRUFFFY filmmaking workshop, Caloundra Library, 9am-1pm
- Tuesday 1 July: SCRUFFFY filmmaking workshop, Kawana Library, 9am-1pm; SCRUFFFY goes mobile workshop, Coolum Library, 9am-1pm
- Wednesday 2 July: SCRUFFFY filmmaking workshop, Maleny Library, 9am-1pm; SCRUFFFY goes mobile workshop, Noosa Library, 9am-1pm
- Thursday 3 July: SCRUFFFY goes mobile workshop, Beerwah and District Youth Centre, 9am-1pm.
A small fee of $5 applies to each workshop. Participants must be aged eleven years or older. To reserve your seat, contact Council’s Recreation and Community Services Caloundra office on 5420 8726.
