The countdown is on for the School Sport Australia Combined AFL National Championship 2016

ImageThere are only days to go until the best up and coming AFL players from all around Australia gather for the School Sport Australia (SSA) Combined AFL National Championship 2016 at council’s Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex from July 24–30.

All eight state and territories will compete for the National School Sport title in the 15 years boys and 12 years boys divisions, while six state teams will battle it out for the 15 years girls division trophy.

The opening ceremony for the event will be held at the Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex, 108 Fishermans Road, Maroochydore at 8am this Sunday, July 24. As the home state Queensland will contest the first games in all divisions. Games will continue throughout the day on Sunday and Monday. Games will resume on Wednesday, July 27 and Thursday, July 28 with the finals due to be played on Saturday, July 30 prior to closing presentations at approximately 2.15pm.

Make sure you head down to Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex to witness some fantastic AFL being played by Australia’s talented AFL students.
