Sunshine Coast Council today announced an exciting opportunity for companies to align their brand with the highly coveted 2013 Sunshine Coast Art Prize (SCAP) which attracts entries from across Australia.

Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said SCAP is now in its eighth year and has achieved national acclaim for its annual representation of contemporary Australian art.

“SCAP provides a distinguished contribution to the Australian art calendar, attracting talented artists from around the country to enter contemporary two dimensional (2D), three dimensional (3D)and works by Tertiary students (T3),” Cr McKay said.

“SCAP exhibitions will be held at Caloundra Regional Gallery (2D), Noosa Regional Gallery (3D) and Butter Factory Arts Centre (T3).

“Council is offering a range of unique sponsorship opportunities for organisations to align and increase their brand to one of the nation’s most significant regional art prizes.

“We are inviting companies who are committed supporters of the arts and the region’s galleries to become Platinum, Silver and Gold sponsors.”

Cr McKay said the Platinum partner sponsorship is an exclusive opportunity and represents significant benefits including the naming rights for SCAP 2013 and a wide variety of promotional benefits for their business.

“In addition to the attractive marketing opportunities, as a Platinum sponsor the list of benefits includes the ability to hold three events in the galleries throughout 2013 and an exclusive ‘sneak peek/premier evening’ of SCAP for VIP clients,” she said.

“We have limited the Diamond sponsorships to two which provide significant promotional benefits to the sponsor at either Caloundra Regional Gallery or Noosa Regional Gallery.

“Last but not least there are four Gold sponsorships available which entitles the partners to provide one of the minor prizes.

“I encourage companies who are looking to increase their brand awareness and enhance their existing market audience to consider aligning themselves to one of the Sunshine Coast’s signature events for 2013.

“We welcome enquiries from companies, organisations or individuals interested in sponsorship opportunities by Friday 29 March 2013.”
