Up to 100 children expected at annual chess tournament

On Wednesday 29 September, Kawana Library is hosting its very popular annual chess tournament.

Up to 100 children, from all over the Coast, will converge on the Kawana Community Hall from 9am for registration, with play continuing right through until 3:30pm.

Each participant will compete in six rounds, the aim being to find the ultimate local chess masters!

Small prizes will be awarded to all winners, and all participants will receive a certificate. Main presentations will take place at 3:30pm.

Morning tea and a barbecue lunch will be provided. Anyone with food sensitivities should bring their own lunch.

Kawana Library is proud to join forces with the Sunshine Coast Chess Club to present this popular event.
