Sunshine Coast Regional Council advises construction of the new Yandina Potable Water Reservoir and pressure pump station will commence shortly.

The $2 million project will ensure a more reliable town water supply and store an additional four mega litres of water to meet the growing residential and business demand.

Stirloch Constructions, one of Queensland’s leading civil engineering & construction contractors, will build the 4.5 mega litre reservoir and decommission the existing 46 year old reservoir on behalf of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council.

Stirloch has a track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects around Australia, and has completed eight water reservoirs during the past two years.

Sunshine Coast Water, Infrastructure Delivery Regional Manager Ray Donaldson, said work is expected to start next to the current reservoir site on 45 Old Gympie Road Yandina during the last week of November and be completed by early June next year.

Council will distribute letters to Yandina residents in the next few days outlining the intention of the works associated with the site.
